Comme des Garcons fall 1998 inside-out deformation dress
Sold out
An ensemble from Rei Kawakubo's collection entitled “Fusion" which was a a series of garments of complicated clothes over which much labor had been spent as the designer grafted and collaged different types of garments into unique pieces, such as this inside-out ensemble that was purposely created with a deformation construction from the inside-out. The dress is slanted in an asymmetric way with hook enclosures, a circular part in the pattern making to create volume. The perfect piece to layer, I imagine even styled with adidas track-pants paired with mules/kitten heels would be a big vibe. Similar pattern to look #10 of runway, in a less structured wool in this iteration.
