Yoshiki Hishinuma Fall 1997 Pink Shibori Skirt
Sold out
The former Miyake Design Studio freelance designer who was renowned for his limitless driven innovative textile approach to design specifically experimenting in the concept of Shibori. This concept had been consistently explored every single season, yet with the fall 1997 collection, the randomised lines resemble the Japanese art-form 'Shibari'. Whether this was an intentional play on the words Shibori and Shibari is completely unknown, however it's evidently perceived that way. The garment is made by hand by a transfer print process and is irregular in nature. The garment flat is completely 2D and is ideal for travelling due to its resistance to wrinkling despite its wrinkled nature. Mid length semi-pencil silhouette and fully lined (double layered). 29cm x 2 waist relaxed / 43cm~ stretched, 56cm width, 82cm length. Made in Japan
